Puppy Training
Most of us will want to take the puppy home so that we could hold them and play with them. But if the puppy is not given a particular space at home, it is possible that the pup might feel unsecured. So it is important to decide in advance as to what the rules will be and where to provide a space for the puppy. You must have a lot of patience to train the pup.
Routine – The Importance
You must not forget the fact that when you bring the pup home, it is separated from its mother and will expect the same level of safety and security as was provided by its mother. It is important that your pup gets used to a routine right from the day one. You must have a specific time for feeding the puppy, letting it play which will eventually make the pup housebreak in specific times. It could be best done by someone who stays at home and has time for the puppy. The vet could be asked for the frequency and the timings for feeding the puppy. The whole training process will be made easier if your pup is made to follow a routine.
Rules – The Importance
Establishing some rules in the house for the puppy will be useful in various ways. For instance, you could make a rule as to where the puppy must sleep at night. It is not healthy if your pup sleeps along with you in the bed. Even if your pup tries to sleep in your bed, you must avoid letting it do that. When you stick to such rules, your pup too will understand what you expect in him and will behave accordingly so as to please you. For efficient puppy training, consistency of rules is very crucial.
